Students take home textbook letters. Give letters to parents.  Bring $ 35.00 for the set.
Personal information, p. 1: middle initial, place of birth
Family Vocabulary, p. 2.  HOMEWORK: Study family vocabulary, including  nuclear family and extended family.  Do workbook p. 2.  Draw and color your family tree.  Write  the names of all members.  Write the ages of the children only.  Bring your "Me Bag" back to class.
Group #2:  Review Sadako vocabulary.  Write the vocabulary in your VN. Do Q & A on p. 64, # 1-10.  Write the question and answer using complete sentences. Homework: Reread "Sadako".  Write the vocabulary in your VN.  Do packet p. 33 only.  (Bring your "Me Bag" back to class.)

#1: Family Vocabulary.  Share family trees.  Write a story about your family using the story frame chart. Expand family vocabulary.  Do WBW p. 3 & workbook p. 3.
#2:   Correct Q & A and packet 33. Listening quiz on Sadako vocab. Continue with skills in packet (dialog punctuation, apostrophe with possessives & plurals). 
#3: "Hatchet" Correct packet pp. 9, 10, 12, & 14.  Teach similes.  Do packet pp. 11 & 13.  Collect Q & A for points.
