Green Group: Finish Q & A from Wizard of Oz; then collect.  Collect animal outline/writing assignment from "Rain Forest Creatures"; (If you didn't do it, do the writing for homework.)
Interview assignment from p. 144. Get in pairs with an interviewer and an interviewee.  Prepare questions, including advice for newcomers.
Blue Group:  Visions 2.2 (Unit 2, Chapter 2)

Whole Class:  Assign Book Report.  Due Wed. March 19th.
Emergencies PVB #31;Emergencies Matching; Oz Crossword Puzzle; School Items word search

HOMEWORK:

Green Group:  Practice your interview.

HOMEWORK:
1. Saint Patrick's Day: 
a)  Read the stories about "Saint Patrick's Day" and "Helen from Cambodia"
b) Write new vocabulary in your Vocabulary Notebook
c) Do the Open Minds
2. Work on your book report.  Get your cereal box; measure the sides, and finish the writing and artwork. We will type in the lab Tuesday, and the box is due Wednesday at the latest.  Late projects will be docked one grade.

Friday 3/21/08 Today is the last week of the trimester. Miss Stern substitutes.
PERIOD 1
1.  Review sports vocabulary (VB #12)
2. WBW p. 134 Hobbies and workbook page
3.  Sports equipment  (with DLM Photo cards).
4. Listen again to "Right Field" on the Peter, Paul & Mary CD. (Students have the lyrics.)
5. Correct questions from homework. Trade papers and have neighbor correct. (Write "corrected by" at the bottom of the paper.) Then turn in.
PERIOD 2:
6. "Who's on First" video clip by Abbott and Costello. (Have students use the picture of the baseball field they drew on the back of their worksheet #12.)  Read to them the written script slowly enough to discuss it. Then draw the field as shown on the back of the video box. Have them abel the field positions with the players' names.  Once they understand the idea, play the VHS tape of the Abbott and Costello routine.  (It's pretty fast!)
Mid-period 2 to per. 3: Game time.  Clean up well before dismissal.

Students moving to Sheltered and/or home schools: Turn in books today to all teachers (every book except the WBW picture dictionaries)
