| 4/29/08 | SUBSTITUTE TODAY. Please write names of any absences: Volunteers check & stamp homework. Write down names of anyone who didn't do it. Stamp & collect colored pictures of Takanobu. Japan, chapter 20: "The Influence of Neighboring Cultures on Japan" handouts: * Study Guide for ch. 20 (Students, note: Ch. 21 is on the back. Don't lose it!) * Cornell Notes (students have, except for Abtin and Guy, who were absent). Students read the text and answer the questions on the left side of the chart. On the back side, they will start writing their own question after previewing/scanning. Students may read in groups or pairs. Assist students who need extra help. Homework: 1. Finish the Cornell Notes if nor completed in class; 2. Study vocabulary from Study Guide: (cultural diffusion, Prince Shotoku, Seventeen Article Constitution, Taika Reforms, Shinto, kanji, kana, tanka, pagoda, gagaku) CLEAN UP BEFORE DISMISSAL. |
