                Bring camera and cord to connect it to our computer at school (or find out if you can e-mail the video to your e-mail account (accessible from school) or to Mrs. Thiessen: (ethiesse@iusd.org).

Filming should be completed by next Monday.  Bring your camera to school or e-mail the film so we can place it in Power Point next Monday February 4th.      

Bring red Visions book tomorrow.

Modification to Newscast Assignment: We will film in class on Monday.
Literature: "Anne Frank, Diary of a Young Girl" pp. 178-185
genre: diary; context, using chronology to locate information; Vocabulary:  veranda, S.S., call-up, concentration camp, doomed, suspense, overawed, vital, satchel, dog-tired, sole, stifled, inquired.
Assignment: 1. Write the vocabulary in your vocabulary notebook.
2. Do packet p. 97, 98, 100, & 101
3. Plan the props you will need for your filming Monday.

Visions Red: Reread "Anne Frank" excerpt and listen to audio CD (disc # 2, track 3) pp. 181-185
Correct packet pages 97, 98, 100, & 101
Identify Tone in diary entries (follow-up packet p. 99)
Using Conjunction "But" to introduce a sentence (packet p. 102)
Questions and Answers p. 186 (Answer using complete sentences)
Homework: Grammar packet 16: Direct objects. 
Homework: Grammar packet 52-55: Conjunctions to form compound sentences

Remember: We will film Monday.  Practice projecting and speaking clearly, and with feeling.
Clean up before dismissal.
