Read Visions introduction pp. 202-204.  Read and listen to "Earthquake"
Vocabulary: cluster map, disaster, memoir, to draw a conclusion (= to conclude), to give support; 
(See also vocabulary from the selection at the bottom of pages 206-211.)

 

2/27/08 Return tests on chapter 9; recollect.
If you scored less than 52/69 (75%), you may raise your score to a "C" by writing about the item(s) you missed.  Turn in your new paper with your test tomorrow.
"Earthquake"; Share word clusters to organize ideas.  Analogies & Using semi-colons.
Homework: Reread "Earthquake".  Study vocabulary.  Do Q & A from p. 212, and do the activities pp. 113-114.
