Sketchbooks Drawing is not a talent you are born with, it is a skill that you develop. Anyone can draw if they learn some simple "tricks" and take the time to practice. The sketchbook assignments involve techniques and ideas that will help in your drawing and class projects. You are expected to work on the assignments each week, not rush to finish them at the last minute. Work should be done on either a 9 x 12 white drawing pad or on white computer paper in a folder. 7th grade assignment: Sketchbooks consist of two drawings, each drawing should take at least 30 minutes to complete and should meet the requirements of the assignment. Drawings that take over an hour should be signed by a parent and will receive double credit. Extra credit drawing can be of any subject, but must take at least 30 minutes to draw. No more than two extra credit drawings per assignment will be graded. The next sketchbook is due: June 5
8th grade assignment: Sketchbooks will require one or two drawings or designs that meet the requirements of the assignment. Each assignment should take at least one hour. If you spend at least an hour and a half you will receive extra credit if the drawing is signed by a parent.
The next sketchbook is due: June
